The All-Ireland Pharmacy Conference is a biennial event jointly hosted by the Northern Ireland Centre for Pharmacy Learning and Development (NICPLD) and the Irish Institute of Pharmacy (IIOP), the two organisations responsible for supporting the continuing professional development of pharmacy professionals in Northern Ireland and Ireland.
The conference aims to:
• showcase and celebrate innovation, research and best practice in pharmacy;
• share learning and developments from across Northern Ireland and Ireland;
• foster professional networking, collaboration and relationship-building;
• support the development of presentation and research skills; and
• explore emerging issues and opportunities shaping contemporary pharmacy practice.
Held in-person every two years at a location selected to maximise accessibility and participation from across Ireland, the conference creates opportunities for meaningful discussion, knowledge exchange and professional connection.
NICPLD and IIOP are committed to supporting practitioners to engage with and contribute to the conference. Resources including poster and presentation templates are provided to help contributors develop and present their work with confidence.
Each conference programme is developed around an identified theme, and incorporates keynote addresses, short oral presentations, clinical skills development and poster presentations. The content is primarily targeted at practitioners (pharmacists and technicians), researchers, educators, policymakers and regulators from both primary and secondary pharmacy practice settings in Northern Ireland and Ireland.
Pharmacists, technicians and qualified assistants are encouraged to exchange ideas for pharmaceutical service development in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
